Here's the first look at my classroom before the 2019-20 school year started. I try to have lots of organization areas in my classroom. Students each have their own mailbox, homework clip, book bin, and book bag. These things allow students to have routine and work on their organization skills.
Every morning, students put their homework folders in their mailboxes and turn in their homework, with their clip, in our basket. I am able to use these mailboxes for homework as well as any important information that needs to go home. Students will also place any work done during the day in their mailbox to take home. As for the homework basket, it also comes in handy when students turn in their test. By clipping any of their work, I'm able to quickly alphabetize their work - making grading and keeping things organized a breeze!
By the windows, you can also see some of our student book bins. Each student keeps their folders, notebooks, math journal, crayons, and headphones organized in their book bin. They get their bins in the morning to have access to their things all day and return them to our shelves at the end of the school day.

Ceiling lights can often times be very harsh. I use colored netting (usually matched to a holiday) to dull the lights. The majority of the year they are green, which is a cool, calming color that coordinates with the rest of our classroom.
As you can see here, I am a fan of calm, ambient lighting like Christmas lights and lamps, rather than keeping our overhead lights on all the time. They create a calming atmosphere that the students and I enjoy year round.

It's all about the books! And organization. Here you can see my extensive classroom library, organized by topics (Animals, Biography, Disney, etc.) and genre (non-fiction, fiction, series, etc.) Students are able to "shop" weekly for new books to keep in their chair's book bag to read.
Read to Self, independent work times, and during test taking are the perfect time to use some of our fun, flexible seating options in my classroom. Spool seats and our book bench are just a few items that I've made to create a welcoming space for my students. I encourage them to find a space where they can focus best on their independent work.
I am a huge recycler and try to teach my students the importance of recycling within my classroom. As you can see, we have a pretty big bin to fill up with our paper, plastic, and cardboard! I'm thankful to teach in a district that recycles weekly!
